Tesh celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a benefit “TeshFEST 2016” — a fun-filled 70’s themed evening — Friday, May 13 at the Coeur d’Alene Resort!  Tesh provides choices and opportunities to people with disabilities of all ages seeking greater opportunities, self-sufficiency, and participation in their community.

This well-attended entertaining event of over 200 included dinner, outstanding auction items, raffles, and a 70’s trivia game.  Doors opened at 5:30 pm and festivities continued till 9:15 pm.  Tesh management staff, board members and volunteers welcomed guests as they arrived.

Matthew Stolley played 70’s tunes as attendees strolled about visiting, previewing silent and live auction items, and buying raffle tickets for an exciting number of items including a Cancun Paradise Vacation. Shortly after 6:00 pm guests sat down for a delicious full course dinner prepared and served by the Coeur d’Alene Resort.

Emcee Kalae Chock from KHQ introduced CEO Frances Huffman who reviewed the history and progress of the organization over the past years and thanked the crowd for their support,  She discussed her plans for the future and the current need for funding of the additional construction at the Tesh ‘campus’.  Auctioneer Rick Sparing then led an extremely successful  ‘paddle raising’ event which raised the $15,000 needed to complete the new construction!

The evening continued as Daren Anderson of Entertainment Warehouse led the guests on a challenging trivia game focusing on 1970’s ‘knowledge’ as spirited competition between the ‘tables’ of guests ensued.  In between games attendees were given a last chance to bid on silent auction items and check out the ten live auction items including a ‘priceless’ adorable 6 week old yellow lab puppy!
