Northern Quest capped off their 6th year of charity fundraising for the local organization, Communities in Schools on Tuesday, July 12th at the newly renovated, rejuvenated and resurrected Kalispel Country Club.  While this was the 6th fundraising year for Northern Quest, it was the first year that Communities in Schools has been a recipient and partner.

The evening prior, Northern Quest hosted a dining event in conjunction with the golf outing, for partners and sponsors.  With over 200 people in attendance, dinner attendees had the opportunity to learn more about Communities in Schools, while dining in fine fashion.  With the live and silent auctions taking place at the Monday evening soiree, Tuesday was teed up to be a swinging good time!

With much detail, food tents with scrumptious bites were set up at several holes for the scramble/2 man best ball tournament.  Various whimsical ‘golf’ games were set up at a few holes throughout the course allowing the participants to take a shot at winning a prize.  Of course the tournament also had the oft coveted competitions: closest to the pin, longest drive and most coveted of all, the hole in one. Tournament participants partook in chipping rubber ducks and frogs into a small wading pool, corn hole competitions, Frisbee toss and even a marshmallow hitting contest. These side contests yielded prizes throughout the course and kept a laid back, fun feel to the event.

With nearly perfect weather, 144 bags filled with snacks and goodies for all participants, state of the art golf carts, ladies and gentlemen decked out in their best golf attire, some changes and modifications to the pristine course and a Kalispel staff that missed not a single detail, fun was had by all.

A little rain, 2 beverage tickets, food on the course and in their participant bags, a No-Li Brewery station set up, burgers to wrap it all up, a golf course resurrected and a sight to behold, it’s a sure bet that most of these participants will happily return in 2017!
